Taunton –The city’s premier industrial park got a shot in the arm Tuesday with the announcement of a $1.5 million grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration.
The EDA grant will go toward infrastructure improvements in the Myles Standish Industrial Park in support of a new Life Sciences Center.
U.S. Commerce Secretary John Bryson, in a press release, called the investment “a shining example of the Obama Administration’s commitment to supporting a 21st century infrastructure.”
The Life Sciences Center (LSC) is expected to create 35 new jobs and generate $1.6 million in private investment, according to Bryson.
