TAUNTON—The Mill River never looked so good.
“It’s absolutely changed,” said state Sen. Marc Pacheco, D-Taunton.
Pacheco and more than 30 others, representing foundations and funders of the state’s Mill River Restoration Project, took a bus tour Wednesday in Taunton of two sites of former dams.
The river project is part of a statewide initiative to remove or repair 1,600 privately owned dams in Massachusetts, not only to restore natural habitats, but to improve public safety.
