A $2.2 billion environmental bond bill could fund hundreds of projects across the state, ranging from hiking trails to harbor dredging, cleared the Massachusetts House and Senate Thursday night, as formal legislative sessions drew to a close for the year.
Negotiations are taking place on Beacon Hill this week over an environmental bond bill that could make millions of dollars available to improve the Boyden Wildlife Refuge, invest in other parks in Taunton and develop a center for urban agriculture in Dighton.
Nine area cultural organizations and councils have been approved state grants, according to a press release from Sen. Marc R. Pacheco (D-Taunton) .
